Introduction to Sea Kayaking
(£150 - 2 Days or £300 for 5 days)

This 2 day course is for people with little or no experience of sea kayaking. The course will cover basic boat handling techniques specific to sea kayaks, safety and rescue, and trip planning.

Level of experience required: Confident on flat water.

Flat waters of Loch Oich, Scotland

Intromediate Sea Kayaking
(£150 - 2 Days or £300 for 5 days)

This course is for the paddler who considers themselves more than a beginner, but not quite experienced enough to undertake expeditions and more challenging coastlines. Exploring different coastlines from sheltered bays, sea cliffs and surf beaches. Safety and rescue practical workshop.

Level of experience required: Some basic sea kayaking skills.

Journeying, Taw Estuary, Devon

Intermediate Sea Kayaking
(£150 - 2 Days or £300 for 5 days)

A course for paddlers who want to improve and build upon their existing skill level. With the opportunity to gain practical experience of more challenging coastlines. The course will include a mini-expedition for those wishing to take part, carrying all food and equipment for a night out on an isolated beach! The course will aim to cover the new BCU 3 * Sea Kayak training syllabus.

Level of experience required: Confident in winds up to force 3, with a competent support stroke.

Experienced paddlers on Loch Ness, Scotland

BCU 3 Star Sea - Training and assessment
(£225 - 3 Days)

This award is discipline specific and is a pre-requisite for the UKCC / BCU level 2 in coaching paddlesport. The assessment will take place on the final day. If you want assessment only, this can be arranged by contacting the booking office.

Level of experience required: 2 Star skills, although the award itself is not necessary.
