West Coast of Scotland: Isle of Mull & The Treshnish Isles
The Isle of Mull is one of the best places on the west coast to wild camp, with Beautiful white coral beaches, deserted islands, and close encounters with wildlife such as seals, otters, basking shark and puffins. If the weather conditions are right, then a trip out to the world famous 'Fingals Cave' on the island of Staffa, is highly recommended.
Sea Kayaking South West can arrange camping trips for groups of 4 or more people on dates to suit you. All kayaking equipment, guides, instruction and camping equipment (except sleeping bags) can be provided. Bed and breakfast accommodation can also be arranged. Please contact us for more details. Wild Camping Expedition
Sea Kayaking South West is offering a wild camping expedition to the Isle of Mull & The Treshnish Isles. You will have two fully qualified guides on the expedition. There will be plenty of opportunity to look out for wildlife, the west coast of Mull is one of the best places in Britain for sightings of Basking Sharks and Minke Whales. We aim to make the short crossings to off shore islands if skills and weather allow. Each morning we will meet to discuss the day’s journey which will be tailored according to the weather, ability levels and requirements.
What experience is needed?
This expedition is aim at paddlers who have experience of covering upto 20 miles a day and have camped from a sea kayak. Double sea kayaks can be provided if requested in advance.
