Lundy Island Sea Kayaking Adventures
The island of Lundy, off the North Devon coast, supports an amazing diversity of marine life. Lundy is England's only statutory marine nature reserve. This year we are proud to be the only company offering our Sea Kayaking Adventures around this wonderful island.
Below you will find prices; if you have any questions or have any special requirements please contact us.
Come and join us on a wildlife safari by sea kayak. As we paddle along the coast of Lundy we may encounter the resident seals and even a basking shark. In the breeding season Lundy is home to the largest seabird colony in southern England with species such as razorbill, guillemot and kittiwake. You may be lucky enough to spot a puffin, the bird that gives the island it's name, 'lund-ey' is Norse for puffin island.
Your adventure starts as soon as you board our charter boat, 'Obsession II', a fast motor boat which covers the journey from Ilfracombe to Lundy in about an hour. Carrying up to 12 passengers and 8 sea kayaks 'Obsession II' has a fly bridge on top of the wheelhouse which is an ideal way to spot dolphins and other wildlife during the exhilarating crossing.
We offer day trips and weekend breaks. All trips will include:
return crossing aboard 'Obsession II'; fully guided sea kayak wildlife safari; all equipment hire; time to explore the island before your return to the mainland; all food (weekend breaks only) and camping equipment are provided (excluding sleeping bags).
