A Busy Week For Sksw

We've had a very busy week and have been enjoying the fantastic weather here in North Devon. At the beginning of the week we had a family of four out in not so great weather but enjoyed a trip around Combe Martin bay.

Wednesday and Thursday we had an intermediate course in blistering sunshine but very big swell so our clients really did have to use their skills and learnt some new ones too in the challenging conditions.

Wednesday evening 4 of us went out for a night paddle on the Taw estuary - it was a breathtaking evening. It was a clear night and the water was so still that we coud see the stars reflected in it. We also had phosphorescent algae sparkling off our paddles and bows - stunning !

Thursday evening was a pool session with the Lundy or Bust girls followed by an idyllic paddle on the estuary on Friday in scorching sunshine again.

Rob is now on his way up to Scotland with the trailer full of boats for a week of wild camping around the Isle of Mull.

Phew !
