Mid Summer Lundy Crossing

core/modules/blog/templates/img/avatars/polaroid-rob.gif

21 + 22 June 2010 – Took a group of 2 over to Lundy Island paddling from Lee Bay. Neap tide, F3-4 headwind on the way out – so a slow crossing there. Just missed last dinner orders at the pub – but fortunately they let us have double helpings of pudding. The night was clear so a visit to the top of the lighthouse in the dark was a must before setting up camp. The wind dropped the second day allowing a circumnavigation before returning, giving us a GPS recording of 86 km's!

Anyone who would like to take up the challenge of a crossing to Lundy Island, then please contact our booking office to discuss your options.
